Larvikite is sometimes called ‘Black Moonstone’, ‘Black Labradorite’, or ‘Blue Pearl Granite, Originally found in the Larvik Fjord Region of Norway, Its labradorite-like iridescence creates a ‘schiller effect’ from flashing colors (usually silver and blue) caused by its chemical compositions when hit by rays of light.
